The Association will uphold this Code in all its work and expects that its members will utilise the Code of Ethics in all their dealings in the workplace.

 This will be achieved by:-

  • having the child and their right to an education is at the centre of everything that we do
  • being honest, courteous and fair
  • ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • being consistent and objective
  • having respect for information and respecting of confidentiality including GDPR requirements
  • being sensitive to the circumstances of services, individuals and groups within them
  • acknowledgement of the integrity of members, service users, staff and managers
  • recognition of the interests and welfare of members, staff, managers and clients
  • recognising through leadership an individuals professional development needs
  • implementing non-discriminatory practice and equality of opportunity
